https://handiautomotivegilbert.com/ The world of Aviation has inspired countless timeless designs in the automotive industry, but these two seemingly separate worlds of mobility have more in common than you think. In this article, we shall look at some of the most popular and successful automakers who played a key role in sculpting the aviation industry as we know it today. BMW Many believe BMW got its start making airplanes but they were automobile manufacturers from the get-go. But as was the fate of most automakers back in the day, BMW was also enlisted to contribute to the war effort and that gave rise to some of the most prolific aircrafts and aircraft engines alike along with the iconic BMW logo. During World War II, they made some of the most successful aircraft engines including the 801, a 41.8-liter, 14-cylinder monster that played a vital role in increasing Germany’s high altitude capabilities. Alongside planes, they also built motorcycles primarily for armed forces supply.

The lawsuit accuses A OK Walker Autoworks owner Miles Walker of discriminating against Andreas Flaten after he reported the establishment to DOL when he did not receive his last paycheck, according to NBC News. "Within hours of learning that Mr. Flaten had complained to [the Wage and Hour Division] about not receiving his last paycheck, defendants decided to pay Mr. Flaten in pennies," the lawsuit states. Flaten reported finding 91,500 pennies in his driveway last March with a copy of his paycheck "with an expletive written on the outside," the news outlet noted. A OK Walker Autoworks has also reportedly failed to pay its employees

But today, the vast majority of auto repair professionals do not have the training or equipment to repair EVs, which are anatomically very different from their gas-powered predecessors. As a result, many early EV adopters have been forced to rely on vehicle manufacturers and dealerships to service their cars — a situation that can drive up repair costs and lead to frustratingly long wait times. Ruth Morrison, who chairs the Automotive Technology Department at Southern Maine Community College (SMCC), wants to change that. Morrison, who was an auto mechanic before she began teaching in 20

Chevrolet opened a new front in the Truck Wars on Wednesday, vowing its electric Silverado EV pickup will beat the Ford F-150 Lightning on a host of key performance metrics, including driving range, towing capacity, power and passenger space. It’s the first salvo as the battle for pickup supremacy shifts to a critical new theatre: Electric vehicles. GM CEO Mary Barra unveiled the Silverado EV — scheduled to go on sale in the second quarter of 2023 — in her keynote address Wednesday  to the CES electronics show in Las Vegas. GM plans to stream Barra’s address on its Exhibit Zero website: gmexhibitzero.com/en-us. The Silverado EV will debut as a 2024 model with prices starting at $39,900, Chevrolet vice president of marketing Steve Majoros said. Full-size pickups like the Silverado, F-150 and Ram 1500 are U.S. automakers’ top selling vehicles, generating billions of dollars in profits annually. They also are among the most technically challenging vehicles to electrify. Pickup owners expe

After a collision sent one of his tow truck operators to hospital on Thursday, a towing company owner west of Edmonton is renewing a call for blue and amber lights to be allowed on roadside assistance vehicles in Alberta. Gregg Wilson owns APL Towing & Recovery, based in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain.  He said one of his employees was on Highway 16, near Range Road 22, to recover a vehicle from a median and had pulled onto the shoulder with his lights on to wait for a blocker unit to arrive. While he was waiting, another driver drove into his vehicle. The tow truck driver was sent to hospital and is now home, expected to make a full recovery. Both vehicles were badly damaged. Stories like this are all too common, Wilson told CBC News Friday morning. Just last week, there was a less serious but similar incident with another driver for the company. "We don't go a day without an incident or a close call," he said. Wilson said blue and amber lights on tow trucks could make
